Balancer is an automated market maker (AMM) that was established in March 2020 on the Ethereum blockchain. Placeholder and Accomplice helped it raise $3 million in a seed round. The Balancer protocol is a weighted portfolio that self-balances, a price sensor, and a liquidity provider. It lets users to benefit by contributing to customized liquidity pools using its freshly launched token ($BAL).In the same way that Uniswap and Curve allow users to build token pools, Balancer does as well. Regardless of price fluctuations, the pool adjusts itself to maintain the tokens' equal weight. Balancer, on the other hand, has a unique feature in that it allows you to add several tokens without using ETH.Despite the fact that Balancer isn't the first DeFi protocol to incorporate AMMs, it has given liquidity a new face. The protocol's distinguishing characteristic is that it allows liquidity providers to hold up to eight assets per market, each of which is automatically rebalanced and weighted by percentage.
