ConstitutionDAO was a crowd-funding campaign that raised funds to purchase a first-edition copy of the United States Constitution. PEOPLE is a token that represents a ConstitutionDAO stake. The PEOPLE token now represents a DAO movement with historical significance, as the bid for the document failed. Because the initial team chose to stop the project and destroy its multi-sig that controlled the donated funds, the PEOPLE token now has no explicit use cases. PEOPLE token holders will always be able to exchange 1,000,000 PEOPLE tokens for 1 ETH.Contributors would not have gained ownership of the Constitution since a DAO could not possess the copy of the Constitution. Instead, PEOPLE is a governance token that would have granted its holders voting rights over the location of the Constitution, i.e., which museum would house the real copy.It is clear that there are parts of the community who wish to incorporate PEOPLE tokens into future projects.
