Decentraland (MANA) is an Ethereum-based virtual reality platform. Content and apps may be created, used, and monetized by users. The ability to buy land and develop on it in virtual reality is one of the platform's most important features.Decentraland was founded in 2017 after a $24 million ICO. The virtual environment first released to the public in February 2020, after its closed beta in 2019. MANA and LAND are the two tokens used in Decentraland. To get non-fungible ERC-721 LAND tokens, MANA is an ERC-20 token that must be burnt. On the Decentraland marketplace, MANA tokens may be used to purchase a variety of avatars, wearables, names, and other items. The Decentraland gameworld, also known as the "Metaverse," is split into 90,601 unique LAND parcels, each of which is represented by an ERC-721 non-fungible token.
