Media Network is a novel protocol that avoids the centralized approach of typical CDN providers in favor of a self-governed and open source solution in which anybody may join. The Media Network offers a distributed bandwidth market that allows service providers like media platforms to hire network resources and dynamically come and go as demand for last-mile data transmission fluctuates. It enables anybody to offer information organically without requiring any pre-authentication or trust assumptions. For their bandwidth donations, participants get MEDIA incentives in the form of a limited-edition SPL token produced on the Solana Blockchain.
